Bacon Magazine, a national outlet covering business and culture for women entrepreneurs, published a feature this month on Pave HER Way's launch, digging into our three funding programs, the philosophy behind them, and what's ahead as applications open this August.
The piece breaks down all three ways to get funded: the Change Agent Prize, up to $90,000 in merit-based recognition for women with a track record of breaking down barriers for others; the Disruptor Award, also up to $90,000, for women building transformational ideas and organizations; and the Self-Investment Financial Aid program, up to $30,000 in need-based funding for education, childcare, housing, and hardship-related costs.
"We believe women deserve real investment, financial, communal, and structural," said Irene Shih, Founding CEO of Pave HER Way, in the piece. "When women are fully backed, they don't just succeed for themselves. They create space, access, and a vision of what's possible for other women."
The article also touches on our volunteer community, professionals can join as Mentors, Connectors, or Builders to support recipients directly, and confirms applications for our inaugural cohort open this August.
